haitai

a bit about me

I'm a "recovering economist" and self-professed limu/seaweed nerd with 15 years of experience as an executive director at environmental and indigenous land rights non-profit orgs.

In 2024, I was tapped to serve as Co-CEO at social impact finance intermediary Hawaiʻi Investment Ready (HIR). I am also a frequent collaborator with community-based research firm, Groundswell.

I'm a proud māmā, partner, friend, neighbor, coach, champion, ally, shimanchu and descendant.

haitai

is a general greeting of "hello" in Uchinaguchi (Okinawa language), and gendered in its context.

Though Iʻm not often in these channels, I check up on them every so often to see what folks are up to. I do love to connect; best way to reach me is email, a call, or a text.
